As well, there are several books that deal with jazz drumming topics such as comping, ride cymbal techniques and patterns, and even trading fours. Many books also incorporate a CD with original jazz play-along tunes. But to my knowledge, there is no book available, specifically designed for the drumset player, that definitively combines these topics with the actual jazz standards that a drummer is likely to play on a gig... until now!
