I have been successfully recording and exporting drum tracks for Nashville producers and songwriters who use Pro-Tools, DP 3, Sonar, Cubase, Nuendo, etc. in their own studios! Transferring drum files works perfectly! I'm also working with several clients on the west coast, transferring files via the internet! Or, if you use an ADAT format, I will record your drum tracks using an Alesis XT-20 or Tascam DA-38.

Here's how it works:
For Computer: Send a data CD with three tracks; a mix/guide track (or guitar/keyboard track), a separate click track, and a separate vocal track. Export them to CD as either wav files (PC) or AIFF files (Mac) depending on the computer type you are using. When I receive the CD I will import the files into my computer and record your drum tracks. When completed, I will then export the drum tracks to CD (as all mono files) and ship them right back to you! Import the files right into your Recording Software and you have instant, great sounding drum tracks! (This will sure save you from the tedious and time consuming task of programming).

Things to remember when exporting tracks:
• Export complete track, from very beginning to end, as it appears on your computer!
• Set all track levels to zero db when exporting.
• Remember, a mix/guide track, a separate click track, and a separate vocal track.
• Indicate the tempo of the song.
• Indicate the Sample Rate (44.1, 48 kHz, etc.) and Bit Rate (16,24)
• Notate musical information so my performance will satisfy your needs.

For ADAT: Record a guitar/keyboard vocal to track# eight and the click/metronome
to track# seven. Send in a padded envelope or box.
Drums Online: Send an MP3 of your complete track to trainbeat@comcast.net.
I will return the drum tracks to you either by CD or via the internet.

View the photos of my studio/drum tracking room and listen to the sample MP3s of previous drum tracks recorded here. The drum sounds you are listening to are raw, un-EQ'd, and without reverb or compression. This allows you to import and personalize your drum mix as needed. Or, if you would like, I can add EQ, verbs, and compression, and even mix the drums in stereo, so all you have to do is import!

Please contact me if you would like to work together, or if you have additional questions. I look forward to hearing from you! Return to the Bio page for additional information.
